We know a substantial proportion of Sri Lankans living abroad leave relatives and obligations behind. And many retain a strong interest in social, political and economic affairs back home.

The time has come for both sides of this connection, non-residential Sri Lankans and the home region to work together to realize the full potential of a dynamic relationship.
But that effort has to be grounded in a proper understanding and knowledge of this connection.

We in Sri Lanka continue to deepen our knowledge of non-residential Sri Lankans and we intend to inform and help non-residential Sri Lankans understand themselves and be conversant with all the developments back home.
